Red Triangle Wiki Deleted!

For those of you who have been following this whole “red triangle” puzzle like I have, you may be disappointed to find out that the official wiki (on wikia, at least) has been deleted for not being a valid community.

Not valid? Why? Were there not enough fans?

I’m not sure why this is the case – perhaps the mods of that site didn’t find it to be relevant enough. However, there are some other sites with information about the puzzle (Reddit, of course!) Here’s the reddit thread (under r/ARG) for those who are interested: The Red Triangle – Cryptic deep web puzzle

Also, there are some YouTube videos about it – are you surprised? YouTube loves this kind of stuff!

Fright Knight, whose content I haven’t checked out much yet, has an in-depth video about it: The Unsolved Mystery of the Cryptic Deep Web Red Triangle Puzzle

There’s also some basic information on Steemit by (who else?) Defango, who brought attention to the whole thing in the first place: The Red Triangle Puzzle – updates.

Like Cicada 3301’s puzzles, there’s an endless amount of speculation and debate as to what these could be about. Are they a recruiting tool? Are they just for fun? Do they hint at something more sinister?

I don’t have any definitive answers about this, but since the wiki is gone, you puzzle solvers could use my blog posts as a reference, if you like! Unfortunately, I don’t have all the detailed lists of solutions that the wiki had previously.

In any case, it’s no big deal. I’m sure lots of other puzzles and mysteries will come along, but this one just happened to be one of the more intriguing ones as of late.

If you have any other mysteries to pass along, readers, feel free to share them in the comments. I like a good challenge.

Red Triangle: Unsolved Parts!

So, rather than just repeat everything from the Red Triangle puzzle that’s already been solved, I thought it might be fun to analyze the parts that are yet unsolved! (At least by the community, that is.)

Referring to the wiki again, the most recent piece that’s been solved is called Lust, which is at http://hvdnczxro3ssxkau.onion. On that page is this image:

Go back to where you came from.
Go back to where it began.
Go home my child.
To where it is safe.

I would go back to where I came from, but I’m not sure where that is.

On this same page is a file called “Cake.rar,” at the link http://hvdnczxro3ssxkau.onion/Cake.rar (Note: if “.onion” doesn’t work, try “”; just make sure you’re using the Tor Browser.)

I haven’t tried this yet, but if you combine the characters from the various pages on the link above, it gets you the next onion link.

Anyhow, the following pieces of the puzzle are still unsolved (at the time of this writing, anyway):

  • Gluttony
  • Greed
  • Wrath

Gluttony is at this link: http://xvp2vy5iwzmeam5e.onion

It consists of this image:

According to the wiki (yes, I cheated again), ROT-17 and Base64 decode the top string, while ROT-23 and Base64 decode the bottom string. The others haven’t yet been figured out (at least not by the group of solvers).

The red text at the bottom of the page still hasn’t been solved, either. Anyone care to take a crack at it?

Greed is at this link: http://no327mkyg2mmflx3.onion

As you can see from the image above, it consists of that spiral, with the accompanying message:

Stare into my Eyes, what do you see

Greedy Greedy Greedy children receive nothing.

On this site are three other pages with additional parts to the puzzle:

These pages each have more encoded messages. Here’s an image of Sunshine, for the curious:

Obviously, the text on the top and bottom is in Cyrillic, though I’m not positive what language it is. And the text in the center is Hebrew, but I haven’t had a chance to translate it yet.

Also, clearly the symbols on the left are significant as well, but they don’t look familiar at the moment. Help me out here, puzzle solvers!

Page 3, “Raindrops,” has this message:

This page has a sequence of numbers (a Pascal’s Triangle):

1 1

1 4 1

1 9 9 1

1  16  36  16  1

1 25 100 100 25 1

149 441 1225 1225 441 49 1

1 64 784 3136 4900 3136 84 64 1

1 81 1296 7056 15876 15876 7056 1296 81 1

As to how the Pascal’s Triangle leads to the next clue, I’m not positive – the sequence of numbers is usually significant, and there may be another pattern I haven’t figured out yet!

Finally, page 4 is called “Pi,” and looks like this:

Hmm…that sequence of letters looks familiar, doesn’t it? If you want the spoiler, go to the wiki. Or you can try and figure it out by yourself.

Anyhow, do you guys and gals think you can solve some of these unsolved riddles? Leave your answers in the comments.

Red Triangle Part 3: Toughest So Far!

Someone commented on my previous post that Mutahar, a.k.a. SomeOrdinaryGamers, had mentioned one of the Red Triangle sites on his episode THE EDGIEST CONFESSIONS!?! – Deep Web Browsing 149.

Nevertheless, I don’t think he made the connection between the puzzle and that particular onion site. (Heck, I only did it recently.) So here it is again:

“Increase your common thought process, become anything, anything if not all, mankind is the only individual that currently stands in your way. Reach out, reach inwards, connect to yourself, connect to you become apart of the universe.

“The reasons for hate will go unanswered; Progress onwards with only the idea of individualism; The fundamental ideas of individualism are the answer. Progression -Individualism – Logical Thinking”

As to what all that means, I don’t know, but it’s fun to speculate, right?

Anyhow, I haven’t explored Red Triangle Chapter 3 in much detail yet, but it contains several different ciphers and symbols.

I have a confession to make, guys and gals; I’m not always so good at deciphering these types of things without “technological assistance.” Nonetheless, this chapter, as well, has already been solved by its related Discord group, and if you want the answers, just go to the wiki and cheat! Ɛ‾ɹǝʇdɐɥƆ/ᴉʞᴉʍ/ɯoɔ˙ɐᴉʞᴉʍ˙ǝlƃuɐᴉɹʇ-pǝɹ//:sdʇʇɥ (Taking a cue from the newspaper, I wrote the text upside-down for fun!)

There’s also an audio clip which sounds a lot like cicadas chirping, but is most likely a sound cipher. At present, I don’t have the equipment on me to decode it; have a listen for yourself. (Actually, the answer to this one is also on the wiki, but again, I hate to give away the answer to you puzzle solvers!!)

Of note: if you click on the red triangle symbol on this particular page, it downloads an image called Pointers.png, which is a clue to solving this part of the puzzle:

Have you made the connection yet? There is, of course, more to this, but again, I didn’t want to give away all of the answers. In fact, maybe I should go to some unsolved pieces of the puzzle and see if I can discover anything!

If I do, I’ll write an update.

Red Triangle Part 2

I decided to look further into this Red Triangle puzzle, although I’m playing catch-up, because the “solvers” are already a lot farther along than me!

Anyhow, if you click the https://paxt4n6urwx7uiah.onion/ link, you are taken to a new page, which looks like this:

As you can see, it has the familiar Red Triangle logo, and also has the song “White Rabbit” playing in the background, which may be a clue as well. Beneath the triangle is what appears to be a representation of the Fibonacci sequence; if you inspect this closer, there is a hidden date (“11/24/17”).

Of note: the Red Triangle wiki mentions that this page is playing the same music as this one: rW1EjLjCrOuM5Ee. At the time I started writing this post, the latter site was playing some very fast electronic music, which I couldn’t identify offhand, and featured this image:

The text reads:

Eagles rain fire on the Canaanite, as the merchant

of wine challenges Cyrus, The sword of Lilly joins

forces with Jacob’s adopted children.

At the time of this writing, the site features a different video, which looks like this:

It isn’t the first time I’ve seen another site use the Cicada imagery and themes; I have no idea if this one is genuine or not, but I doubt it. I’m also unsure as to whether this site is related to Red Triangle in any way, but it doesn’t appear to be.

Anyhow, I digress. In Chapter 2 of the Red Triangle puzzle, if you view the source code, you’ll find an HTML comment with another triangle image and the words, “Coeus’s blood rains upon the mortal men” repeated three times.

I had some difficulty accessing the Chapter 2 site on Tor, believe it or not, but according to the official wiki (yes, I had to cheat):

In the background, in the RedRoom.mp3 during the first 30 seconds of the audio there is a robot voice speaking very slowly and in reverse, when the first 30 seconds are sped up and reversed again, you can hear the robot voice speaking a URL .onion link, along with the message “Follow the White Rabbit” and the URL it gives is at first people where having trouble connecting to the URL but when adding .html to the end, it connects you with Chapter 3 of the puzzle. Also included in the Meta data [sic] of the audio is the name Red Man, which seems to be one of the people behind the entire puzzle.

Oddly enough, I was exploring the link list Fresh Onions the other day, and happened to come across one of these sites without realizing it was even connected to Red Triangle:

I had only seen the text on the left, so it’s interesting to read the translation. Any thoughts on this?

Terminal 00 Part 5: Further Down?

I had thought I was done with Terminal 00 last time, but the other day, I “discovered” some more parts of the site, and would like to share them with my readers who are puzzle enthusiasts.

On the homepage, if you go to the section that says “About Angus,” it tells you some information about the creator of the site, Angus Edandrake Nicneven:

Below his picture, it reads: “Uploading relevant data now…Expect fragmented data (CoS is the cause).”

One of the interesting sections on this page is entitled “A21 (Probe into subject’s organs).” Below this is a picture of what appears to be human intestines (though I could be wrong about that). Yay gore!

The caption reads:

Notice the lack of defenses and inefficient circulatory systems. Weak cellular structures, common in Earth biology, were also observed.

Subject’s writer status is not a symptom nor a cause for links to class [00] threats. Subconscious variables are suspect. See tables 2245-2250 for more information.

The link, as you’ll see if you click, leads here:

The text reads:

It isn’t hard to be a god.

All you have to do is do the impossible.

Getting here is a good first step.

Another tip is to never look into the sun!

From this point, if you click on the word “sun,” you will be taken to yet another page, called “Terminal 111 Sky,” which has a giant sun-like object in the middle:

Click on the sun, and you’ll arrive at a page called “Terminal 111 Entity”:

The text reads:

Error data (worthless) has been given purpose.

The ENTITY that should not have been, is.

(ir) Relevant data will be compiled in this space.

Caution. CoS is consuming this Terminal.

No probe class exists that can escape its depths.

Do not engage without a designated GRAVE to assist.

CoS quarantine contingencies are failing. It will not hold forever.

Below this, it reads:

Full name of subject: ??? ??? ???

An error allows it to attribute

monikers to itself.

Goes by several monikers.

No real name.

No real form.

No real presence.

Not real.

Erased long ago.

Subject: ENTITY should not exist.

If you continue to scroll downward, there is some text that reads, “Contact with ENTITY made by the speaker of Terminal 00. Connection to relevant data is available.” If you click the link there, you’ll be taken to this page, called “Terminal 111 Interview”:

On it is what appears to be an A.I. of some sort, which says, “This is the Speaker of Terminal 00. Are you prepared to answer my questions, ENTITY?” What follows is a conversation between this “ENTITY” and speaker, which you can see if you visit the page.

The Speaker asks the entity questions in a somewhat condescending tone, as if the latter shouldn’t be in the “Terminal” world. From what I gather, the Speaker is angered that the entity awakened “Terminal 111,” and is causing “CoS” to spread. (I’ve gathered that CoS is somewhat like “chaos,” although I don’t know if that’s what it stands for.)

At the end of the interview, if you click the next link, the “interview” continues, on the next page:

It seems that the Speaker is trying to get information out of the “entity” that the entity won’t reveal, but I haven’t figured out what this is yet.

This “Terminal” does go on farther, but I won’t reveal everything. I do wonder if there’s an “end” to this maze, or if it isn’t that type of puzzle.

Anyway, I encourage you to check out this page for yourself, readers, and see what else you might uncover. Perhaps you’ll get farther than I did!

What is Red Triangle?

Given my obsession with puzzles, I was intrigued to hear about another such “internet puzzle” called Red Triangle. It might be nothing, of course, but let’s check it out anyway.

There’s a wiki related to what’s been revealed so far at Red Triangle Wiki. Apparently, someone first posted a series of hexadecimal numbers on November 19, 2017 during a YouTube livestream by the channel Defango, regarding the Tengri-137 puzzle. The video in question is here: The Rabbit Hole.

This was the series of hexadecimal numbers:

Is that legible? Anyhow, someone converted the hex numbers into text, which translated to a Tor hidden service (.onion site) – and that was the first “Chapter,” (or clue, if you will). This Tor hidden service, entitled “Chapter 1,” is at http://7zzhplvtai2jauiw.onion/. (Note: On the Red Triangle Wiki, these sites are listed as “” sites, but I do not suggest using those; whoever is operating the proxy will see your personal details.)

As you can see, the name “Red Triangle” comes from the red triangle symbols that appear throughout each of the puzzles. The first chapter contains three puzzles: two images which contain pigpen cipher and hexadecimal. In addition, the page also contains an audio file called Crave.mp3 (http://7zzhplvtai2jauiw.onion/crave.mp3), which became known after being used in the movie The Legend of 1900.

According to the wiki, there is nothing hidden in the audio file; I hadn’t investigated it myself yet, but I’ll take their word for it.

The hexadecimal code reads as follows:

41 20 47 6f 64 20 6d 61 79 20 77 61 6c 6b 20 61 6d 6f 6e 67 20 6d 61 6e 6b 69 6e 64 2c 20 62 75 74 20 6d 61 6e 6b 69 6e 64 20 6d 61 79 20 6e 65 76 65 72 20 77 61 6c 6b 20 61 6d 6f 6e 67 20 74 68 65 20 47 6f 64 73 54 68 65 20 6a 6f 75 72 6e 65 79 20 79 6f 75 20 73 65 65 6b 20 63 61 6e 20 6f 6e 6c 79 20 62 65 20 64 69 73 63 6f 76 65 72 65 64 20 62 79 20 74 68 6f 73 65 20 77 68 6f 20 61 72 65 20 63 61 70 61 62 6c 65 20 6f 66 20 77 69 74 68 68 6f 6c 64 69 6e 67 20 73 75 63 68 20 6b 6e 6f 77 6c 65 64 67 65 2e 20 42 65 20 77 61 72 79 20 6f 66 20 79 6f 75 72 20 73 75 72 72 6f 75 6e 64 69 6e 67 73 2c 20 6e 6f 74 20 65 76 65 72 79 74 68 69 6e 67 20 79 6f 75 20 65 78 70 65 63 74 20 69 73 20 74 6f 20 62 65 20 65 78 70 65 63 74 65 64 2e 4f 6e 6c 79 20 54 68 65 20 4d 6f 73 74 20 49 6e 74 65 6c 6c 69 67 65 6e 74 20 41 64 76 61 6e 63 65 20 46 6f 72 77 61 72 64

If you input this text into a hex converter, it translates to this:

“A God may walk among mankind, but mankind may never walk among the Gods. The journey you seek can only be discovered by those who are capable of withholding such knowledge. Be wary of your surroundings, not everything you expect is to be expected. Only The Most Intelligent Advance Forward”

The pigpen cipher translates to a URL for a Google doc: This Google doc contains the link to the next part of the puzzle.

Now, I hate to spoil all the fun by giving away all the answers, so I’ll just start with Chapter 1. As for what this puzzle means or the purpose of it, I don’t know for certain. I may have to go through and try to solve some of it myself.

From what I know, the puzzle starts off simple and gets much more difficult with each chapter (which I would have expected).

Since the Cicada people haven’t released anything new in awhile, this seems like a good substitute, doesn’t it?

If you have any insights or possible solutions, feel free to leave them in the comments.

Terminal 00 Part 4: New Discovery

I told you I would come back to Terminal 00, didn’t I?

Today I came across a new “section” of the site, which I thought it would be interesting to share.

On the main page, there’s an image with the message: “You have no chance of surviving this place. Turn back now, while there is still time.”

If you click the design in the center, it takes you to another page, called “Irentae”:

Click the design on this page, and you’ll be taken to a page with an ominous warning:

It reads:

To read the full warning, visit here: Terminal 00: Irentaex. If you click “RETURN,” it takes you back to the beginning, but who would want to do that? Anyhow, if you keep scrolling down, you’ll see another “probe,” if you will (at least I think it’s a probe).

Click that, and you’ll be taken to another probe that fluctuates and changes wildly:

If you go through this one, you’ll reach an ominous looking page called “Depth 0000 Start”:

Click the link in the center that says “Continue,” and you’ll arrive at this page, called “Depth 000”:

From here, as you can see in the screenshot, it says, “Dare you see the truth?” Below that are several links: “Grave,” “Message,” and “Retreat,” accompanied by the message, “Well? Do you see it?!”

It should seem obvious where you can go next, but if you scroll down a bit, there’s more:

The message reads:

It bleeds around you.

Mote by mote, it is revealed.

Made clearer to those without clarity.

Yet you must peer deeper still!

Look, look inward!

The word “deeper” has yet another link on it, which leads to this:

At the bottom of the page is yet another link that reads, “Deeper,” which takes you to a page called “Deeper Still”:

On the top of this page, as in the above screenshot, is a message that reads “CAN YOU SEE IT YET?” If you click on the diamond shapes spread across the page, they’ll light up, but they don’t lead anywhere. Once again, scroll to the bottom of the page, and you’ll see another link that says “Deeper.”

If you click this, then you’ll be taken to yet another page, with the repeated message, “CAN YOU SEE IT YET?” For fun, you can highlight these messages and they’ll glow. Scroll to the bottom of the page again, and there will be yet another link that says “Deeper.”

This leads to a strange page called “000 Noble,” on which you’ll see a large diamond shape:

This is not one of the “probes,” however. What’s compelling about this page is that it features some hidden text and some cryptic messages. Below the diamond shape are some black boxes which, if highlighted, reveal text:

The text reads, “But do you understand this? Because all there is to know, all there is.” Further down is some garbled text that says:

It’s c. o7mig for tis . Tem9nal.

It wl end 0. h3is fo3rv. er.

9Yu. us l. eave.

And underneath this is another “probe,” which leads back to the homepage. Aww, dang! I certainly don’t think we’ve explored the entire site yet, but this was an interesting little journey.

I should mention that if you start reading Angus’ fantasy novel Stars Bleed, which he has excerpts from on his site, some of the Terminal 00 puzzle will start to make sense, as they correspond with one another.

As I’ve said before, if anyone discovers parts of the site that I haven’t found yet, feel free to share them in the comments!
