My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic – on the Dark Web!!

Update: I was politely informed by some people on the r/mylittlepony subreddit that this page is not on the “dark web,” but to clarify:

Actually, it’s on both the clearnet and dark web (which is possible). All that means is that it has a URL on the clearnet Yay Ponies! (Clearnet Site) and also runs as a hidden service. There are quite a few sites like this, actually.

But yes there is also a site called “Yay Ponies!” on the Tor network, on which you can watch all the episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic for free.  Here’s the link, if you’re really interested: Yay Ponies!

As stated in the screenshot there, Yay Ponies was created after the takedown of Ponyarchive by Hasbro, Inc.  And, as far as I know, the site is still up and running, at the same URL.

I realize that you can probably do this on YouTube, but because of the DRM (digital rights management) crackdown, those episodes frequently get taken down.  So far, the Tor site is still up.

You have to admit, though – it’s one of the less creepy sites out there.  I like sharing links like these every so often, just so that people know that the so-called “dark web” isn’t entirely made up of illegal or horrible things…unless you consider MLP:Fim to be horrible. Just don’t tell Pinkie Pie that.

My only hope is that sharing it here won’t result in it being removed on the Tor network as well (I highly doubt it though).  Somehow, I don’t see the FBI, ICE, the DEA, and INTERPOL saying, “Take down those ponies!!”

In fact, if you look around enough, I’m sure there are plenty of “normal” sites around, but the horror stories have greatly exaggerated some of what you can find.

So, for those bronies and pegasisters who weren’t aware of the existence of Yay Ponies, feel free to check it out.  It could be your first step into the dark…web…ooooohhhhhh!!!

About secretsofthedark

Have you heard of the dark web? Simply put, it's the "hidden internet" built on networks like Tor. "Secrets of the Dark" chronicles my dark web experiences, but is also aimed at demythologizing it and teaching about it. Want to reproduce one of the "horror stories"?
